These "silos," which are a couple of Quonset Sheds that were repurposed to store root crops and woodchips, are based on the "Nissen Hut." They have been retrofitted with reinforced roofs and inner walls made of heavy corrugated commercial grade steel for better stability and weather proofing that withstands earthquakes, strong winds, hail, heavy snow, hurricanes, and proper ventilation. For greater capacity on both sheds, they include a partly subterranean storage area.
These sheds are very economical storage options that need no maintenance and eliminate the need for you to use loader buckets to move your harvests in and out. The subterranean storage pump system will transfer the load across both sheds with the help of our automated and bolted-in Grimme conveyor belt system.
The rear of the expansion shed is where unloading is done. When the storage is loaded or emptied, the animated product heap will gradually rise or fall.
