Tractor, field sprayer, mower, and harvester headland management
Headland management makes turning maneuvers easier during field operations by combining components inside the vehicle and activating them all at once. To get the best fit for the task being done, each vehicle's functionalities may be independently enabled and disabled using a graphical user interface (GUI).
Before being used, the corresponding vehicle must have headland management installed as a one-time setup at the shop or workshop. This will set you back $3,000.
The car has the ability to turn it on and off. Additionally, a variety of buttons may be set up to activate and deactivate.
Among the functions were:
– Turn the plough, single-stage or two-stage (via the center position); Raise and change track markers; Change sides with crab steering activated; Turn off PTO shaft(s) and hydraulics and turn them back on; Raise and lower lowered implements and raise them again, optionally raising front implements before raising rear implements; Reduce speed (cruise control) and raise again, reactivate cruise control if it was previously active; Raise lowered implements and lower them again; Turn on/off switch: It is possible to turn the headland management on and off. This enhances road safety by preventing unintentional activation during transit to the work location.
Automatic headland management: When the headland is approached, headland mode is automatically activated. After the 180° rotation is finished, there is an optional return to field mode.
– Contour guidance: automated control along the field border or along the cultivated area – The configuration is saved and restored for each device type – The option to temporarily disable headland automated headland by pushing a button
With the EnhancedVehicle (FS25_EnhancedVehicle) that is currently in use:
Release and reset active differential locks; use EV headland detection if enabled; deactivate and reactivate GPS lane guiding, and optionally activate the turning feature.
Predetermined key combinations that are modifiable:
Turn on and off headland management: Shift + (left) Alt + X – Change operating mode (field mode or headland mode): Shift + X – Launch the setup graphical user interface: Shift + (left) Ctrl + X (left)
Additional preset key combinations (not allocated in advance)
The headland automatic function can be toggled by temporarily disabling and reactivating it. The field mode can be activated, the headland mode can be activated, and the automatic headland automatic function can be temporarily deactivated and reactivated.
