Hello to all fans of the Farming Simulator series. As we await the release of the new FS25 game, the developers are sharing some exciting news about what to expect in this fantastic simulation game. This time, they've revealed a new agricultural crop that will be added to Farming Simulator 25 – peas! Now, as a farmer, you’ll be able to grow peas on your fields.
This leguminous plant will be available on all platforms – PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox Series, and will be part of the base game (meaning no need to purchase additional DLCs). In addition, the developers have hinted at the inclusion of green beans, though details about that have yet to be revealed. So for today, we'll focus only on peas, and we’ll cover other crops as the developers from Giants Software share more information with us.
Features of Growing Peas in Farming Simulator 25:-
Planting from March to April.
-
Harvesting takes place from July to September.

Pea Growth Stages
As we’ve mentioned, peas will be added to FS25, and all players who purchase the base game package will be able to grow this crop. So, let's take a closer look at how it grows and how to cultivate peas.
In the game, peas go through six growth stages, starting with planting using a standard seeder and ending with harvesting. Planting is possible from March to April, and harvesting takes place from July to September. This way, the yield will be at its highest.
It’s important to note that the omission of May in the screenshots hints at more flexible growth conditions. The maximum yield per hectare is 9600 liters, and the price on the easy difficulty level is around $3,119 per 1000 liters. This makes peas one of the most profitable crops in the game.
Harvesting Peas in FS25

Harvesting will not differ much from gathering any other agricultural crop. To harvest peas, you will need the new self-propelled Oxbo EPD 540e harvester, equipped with a 390 hp engine. This harvester can reach speeds of up to 24 kilometers per hour on flat roads.
During harvesting, the speed drops to 6 km/h, which is understandable. The working width of this harvester is 3.9 meters. Although this isn’t very wide, mods can be installed to significantly increase the working width, allowing you to collect much more peas at once.
The Oxbo EPD 540e harvester can hold up to 3700 liters of peas.
Planting Peas

For planting peas in the game, you can use classic machinery models like the John Deere 3650 paired with the Great Plains Solid Stand 1500 seeder. These machines have already appeared in previous versions of the game, but now they can be used to plant the new crop. There’s nothing new here. You can also download mods for other equipment and plant this crop using them.
Overall, the introduction of peas in Farming Simulator 25 not only adds a new crop but also unique equipment for its cultivation. I’d like to add that growing peas will be both interesting and profitable. Moreover, peas are not the only crop we can expect in FS25. Now we just wait for the official game release!
