Green Beans Will Be Available for Cultivation in FS25
As we anticipate the release of one of the most awaited simulators of 2024 — Farming Simulator 25, the developers at Giants Software continue to share information with the gaming community about the upcoming game. We already know that new crops will be introduced in the game, such as spinach, rice, peas, onions, and peppers. Recently, the developers announced in their blog that another exciting new crop — green beans — can also be grown in the fields.
Let’s take a closer look at what to expect from this crop and how profitable it might be.
When to Plant Green Beans in Farming Simulator 25
The ideal time for planting this crop is from April to June. If you sow the fields during this period, you can expect maximum yield.
Since green beans grow relatively fast (around 4 months), they can be cultivated in the early stages of the game to accumulate some starting capital. Some may argue that there are more profitable crops with shorter growing times. While this is true, the new crop will provide a higher yield, and the final product will be significantly more valuable.
If the selling price of the harvested beans doesn’t meet your expectations, you can always put them into production to make more expensive goods. This will significantly increase your profits. However, the developers are keeping the specifics of what products can be made from green beans under wraps for now. There is a hint in the blog that they may be used to prepare various dishes, like soups, which can then be sold. If this turns out to be true, it will be an extremely interesting game mechanic.
Seed Consumption and Yield
One of the few drawbacks of growing green beans is the high seed consumption. You’ll need about 250-280 liters of seeds to plant 1 hectare of land, which is quite a bit. But as discussed earlier, such investments pay off quickly.
As for the yield, the situation is much more favorable: from the 280 liters of seeds sown, you can expect around 13,950 liters of harvested beans, which sounds very profitable. This yield is achieved after 4 months of crop growth.
Harvesting can begin from August to November. The price for 1,000 liters of beans will be approximately $2,160. Keep in mind that these are average figures, and they may fluctuate depending on market prices.
Bean Harvesting Machinery
In the fall, you’ll need to think about harvesting the beans, but what machinery will you use for this? The developers have created a unique harvester specifically for this crop — the OXBO BP2140e. This is an excellent machine, suitable for working on both small and large fields.
Some of its specifications include:
- Weight: Over 20 tons.
- Road speed: Up to 25 km/h.
- Off-road speed: Around 10 km/h.
- Engine power: 315 horsepower.
- Grain tank capacity: 15,000 liters.
- Comes with a 3-meter wide header.
This is the perfect machine with great characteristics that will help turn your bean crops into profit. Of course, thanks to modifications, players will be able to use many other models and brands of equipment to harvest beans — a new crop set to debut in FS25.
Growth Stages of Green Beans in FS25
Finally, let's talk about the growth stages of green beans, as discussed in this article.Below are screenshots showing how green beans will look at different stages of growth. Depending on the stage, you’ll notice significant changes in appearance, plant size, color, height, and other parameters. These stages will help you better monitor the growing process and determine the optimal time for harvesting.
Stage 1: Growth state
Stage 2: Growth state
Stage 3: Growth state
Stage 4: Growth state (ready for harvest)
Stage 5: Growth state (Harvested)
Stage 6: Growth state (Withered)
That’s all for now. Thank you for your attention! Stay tuned to our community at FS25Planet.com to keep up with the latest news about the release of Farming Simulator 25. Until next time!
