FS 25: Release date, trailer, details 1.0
Farming Simulator is one of the most, if not the most, popular farming simulators on PC and consoles. The first installment of the game was released back in 2008 and immediately gained recognition from a large number of players. The developer is the Swiss company Giants Software. Ten installments of the game have already been released (including mobile versions). And now, the continuation has been announced. All fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting this, and finally, it has happened! So, let’s find out together when FS 25 will be released and what to expect from it.
At the end of the article, we have gathered some interesting screenshots and videos of the game, which already allow you to appreciate the visual style, as well as see the innovations and improvements.
Release Date of Farming Simulator 25
The official release date is already known—it’s November 12, 2024! It’s possible that this date may shift by a few days forward or backward, but overall, it is confirmed that the game will definitely be released in November this year. It’s safe to say that there’s very little time left until the official release. FS 25 is already available for pre-order for Windows on the official website. The same date can be seen on the game’s Steam page, so there’s no reason to doubt the accuracy of this information.
Pre-order
At the moment, two editions are available for pre-order—the standard edition ($49.99), which includes the licensed game, and the expanded edition, which includes the game license and additional content. The expanded edition is called the "Year 1 Bundle" and includes the following:
- The standard license for Farming Simulator 25;
- Year 1 Season Pass;
- Exclusive MacDon Pack, available only for pre-order.
The expanded edition will cost $79.99. You can place a pre-order on the official Farming Simulator website in the "Buy" section. It’s also worth noting that the game is available on Steam and Epic Games. There, you can also pre-order the standard or expanded edition with additional content.
Keep in mind that the price in these stores may vary depending on your region! Additionally, these stores often offer discounts and run special promotions, during which you may be able to purchase the game at a much lower price.

The game will be released on several gaming platforms, including computers. Below is the full list of platforms where players will be able to experience this upcoming masterpiece:

What to expect from the game?
Several traditional FarmCon exhibitions have already taken place, where the developers showcased the gameplay and discussed new features. Here are the most important and anticipated innovations in Farming Simulator 25.
New crops: rice and spinach
There is quite a bit of information indicating that we will be able to grow new crops in the fields. These will be rice and spinach. Spinach is pretty straightforward since it’s a standard crop that grows in regular fields. However, the situation with rice is more interesting.
Rice requires high humidity, and for this, special flooded fields will be added to the game, where rice seeds can be planted. You will even be able to create these fields yourself.
Before planting, rice must first be germinated in greenhouses. Specialized machinery will be available for planting and harvesting, allowing for easy planting of small rice seedlings in flooded areas. The developers have added equipment called the ISEKI PR/PRJ for this purpose.
In short, the new crops look very promising.
New Agricultural Machinery
The scale in this regard is impressive. According to the developers, we can expect more than 400 new models of agricultural machinery. This includes harvesters, tractors, agricultural tools such as seeders, cultivators, plows, and much more. There will also be new forestry machines, unique truck models, trailers, and even passenger vehicles.
Here is a list of some of the harvesters, tractors, and other machinery that are confirmed to be in the game, as they were shown in trailers and demonstrated at FarmCon24:
- Fendt 728 Vario Gen 7 tractor;
- Claas Xerion 12.650 tractor;
- New Holland CR11 harvester;
- MacDon M1240 windrower;
- Massey Ferguson 9S tractor;
- ÜLW: J&M Graincart;
- FD250 header;
- ISEKI PR/PRJ rice machine (Iseki HJ 6130);
- Powerful Case Quadtrac 715 crawler tractor;
- Case IH AF11 harvester;
- John Deere S7 harvester in several models.
And this is just a few pieces of equipment out of 400! This is indeed an impressive number, and it’s quite likely that it will be further expanded through DLCs and other additional content.
Improved Graphics, Physics, and Beautiful Animations
The graphic style plays a very important role in the perception of the game. The team at Giants Software understands this well and has worked hard to improve the visual style of the game. Below, we will publish the official video trailer where you can see the visual style of the game.
Overall, it’s hard to call it a breakthrough, but the graphics have truly reached a new level and significantly surpass those of Farming Simulator 22.
Many pleasant animations and mechanics have been added, which by themselves are minor but collectively have a positive effect, enhancing the gameplay experience.
As for the movement physics, it’s hard to judge from the videos alone. You need to start playing the game to fully assess it. But from the videos that Giants have already released, it’s clear that the physics has become more realistic.
New Maps
A total of three new maps are expected for FS 25. So far, one of them—RiverBend Springs—is well known. The developers have been actively showcasing it and testing various mechanics on it. As for the other maps, they remain a secret for now. It’s possible that the creators want to keep some mystery and build excitement for the game.
Regarding RiverBend Springs, on the FS25Planet website, you’ll find a detailed review of this map, where we thoroughly examine the structures, buildings, rivers, and the overall terrain it will feature.
The map looks incredibly interesting. It will have many old buildings and structures, and a river runs through the entire map, which, interestingly, will be active. This means that boats and ships will sail on the river, and you’ll be able to transport things across it. Additionally, there will be many unusual and unique mechanics that will make the gameplay significantly more engaging.
Improved HUD
The HUD has also undergone changes. It will be done in green tones, become more transparent and compact, and the elements in the game menu will be arranged differently than in previous installments. Below, you can see a screenshot of the Farming Simulator 25 HUD.
Everything looks pleasant, beautiful, and, most importantly, convenient.
And Much More...
In addition to everything mentioned above, FS 25 will feature many other exciting elements that make the wait for the game's release even more intense:
-
Improved optimization and bug-free experience. The developers promise that the game will have minimal bugs and lags, thanks to the new and improved Giants Engine 10 game engine.
-
Dynamic weather conditions. We remember that seasons were already introduced in version 22. In Farming Simulator 25, they will be significantly upgraded, with many new weather scenarios added.
-
Improvements in mechanics for sowing, harvesting, cultivation, and other fieldwork. Again, thanks to the new, more powerful engine, we can expect something new and interesting in this area, such as a new system for animal husbandry, fieldwork, forestry, and more.
-
New opportunities for modders. Farming Simulator wouldn't be as popular without mods. With the release of Giants Editor 10, mod creators will have access to many new development tools that will not only simplify the modding process. These new tools will open up more creative possibilities, allowing modding experts to bring even the most complex ideas to life.
-
Smarter AI workers. According to the developers, artificial intelligence will be more advanced and optimized. Hired AI workers will perform their tasks better and more efficiently.
-
GPS will be introduced. Yes, this has probably been awaited by everyone who loves this game series. It’s surprising that this feature wasn’t added earlier, but now it’s official! Players will be able to use built-in GPS tracker functions to automate fieldwork such as sowing, harvesting, fertilizing, cultivating, and other routine tasks.
