Water occupies a very important place in Farming Simulator 25 - animals, plants in the fields and even machinery need it. Therefore, the question of where to get water in FS25 always remains open. After all, without it you will not be able to achieve significant success in farming or raising pets.

In the game to get water is not as difficult as it may seem at first glance. There are several ways to get water, and we will consider them all in this guide.

Equipment for Transporting Water in FS25

You will need the right equipment to collect and transport the water to where it is needed.

The most important thing is the liquid tank. By pressing the P key and going to the agricultural equipment store in the corresponding section you will find different barrels for liquids. We need a barrel that can carry water. Carefully look at the characteristics of the equipment you buy, so that there will be no problems with it in the future.

Purchase a water tank with the capacity that suits your farm’s demands. These tanks are relatively affordable, with prices starting at just $9,000, making them accessible even for beginning farmers.

Important: Make sure to double-check before buying, as some tanks cannot be used for water. Many players mistakenly purchase incompatible tanks, assuming they’ll work for water transportation.

With your tank acquired, you’ll also need a tractor to tow it. You can find suitable tractors in the machinery store as well. For this purpose, a mid-sized tractor should suffice.

Where to Find Water

Next comes the source of water, now that all the equipment is bought. Water can be found in various ways here (all have their advantages and disadvantages).

River or Lake

In FS25, you can collect water directly from a river or lake. On the RiverBend Springs map, there’s a large river where you can park your tractor with a water tank and fill it up.

Simply drive as close as possible to an open water source, and you’ll see a prompt to start filling the tank (usually by pressing R, though this may vary based on your controls).

 

It will take a little time to fill the barrel completely with water. So you'll have to wait a little while. After that, you can drive away from the river and deliver the water to the place you need.

Purchasing Water

If you need water quickly and don’t want to spend time collecting it, buying water is an option.

Water is also sold at the store in special tanks. Getting water this way is easiest, it will appear outside the store along with the tank immediately after purchase. But, if you need water in large quantities, it is advisable to look at other ways.

Special Water Stations on the Map

Certain maps feature designated spots with water tanks where you can quickly fill your water tank. To locate these, open the map by pressing M and look for the water tank symbol. Hover over the icon to confirm it’s a water source.

Drive your tractor with the tank to the designated area, park within the filling zone, and start filling by pressing the indicated button.
