The HGR KY7 Electric Daycab is a vintage tractor from the 1980s that has been meticulously updated to become a completely electric farm vehicle.
The passion of a farmer-engineer who restored her dependable cabover using only parts from a PlasmaStar catalog is reflected in this one-of-a-kind machine. Its core is a PlasmaStar 250 XXS, which powers the back wheels via a robust D32 steel driveshaft. With a few minor adjustments, the system has been modified for agricultural usage even though it was initially designed for a completely different purpose.
The end product is a vehicle that blends the distinctive high-pitched whine of cutting-edge electric motors with the comfortable feel and sound of a diesel. Although its unorthodox energy transmission method isn't the most advanced or efficient, it does demonstrate the creativity and perseverance that went into its development. Mayuka (MMus1cc) designed the engine and transmission to resemble an electric truck with a two-speed motor. It is designed to tow a trailer, much like a real truck, so when you drive it without a trailer, it feels like an electric car. It drives smoothly when there is a load. Limiting the reverse speed makes backing simpler. You may downshift to low range or "D" if you're using manual shifting; S+ (Sport Mode) is the usual forward mode.
has a working "after-market"-style power gauge that displays the electric motor's power consumption.
Fuel tanks were taken out and swapped out with a battery box with batteries and an electric charging connector that Amina (1chig0_A) designed.
The electric range simulates a conversion kit and creates the impression that it is always in need of a plug. (Amina note: also to enhance the utility of the services vehicle!)
There are three colors available for clearance lights: orange, white, and green.
The slanted CB antennae were taken out and swapped out with a standard mirror-mounted antenna.
The tractor's back has a cat-walk and new connectors. These days, it has hydraulic connections.
Utilizes Interactive Control. The IC can access the battery box, roll down the windows, and operate the radio.
