Compared to the LM 845, the LM 846 is a much more popular wheel loader. It weighs 500 kg heavier and has tires of the same size throughout.
The 846 was a superior all-around loader for materials handling, while the 845 was better for forestry work because of its bigger front wheels.
I present to you the LM 846 from 1972, which is based on the LM 845 by Giants Software. Features:
Wheel selections vary, but all four wheels have the same dimensions.
Front and rear ZF-axles have been updated to optimize torque.
Three choices for engines:-Volvo D50B; standard 5.13L inline six-cylinder engine with 115 horsepower
-Volvo D60A; 5.48L inline six-cylinder engine with 125 horsepower, increased torque, and increased rpm. 5,000 dollars-Volvo TD70B – a 6.73L truck engine with a turbocharged 180 horsepower and an upgraded torque converter, which increases peak speed. Redesigned gearbox with two forward and two reverse speeds, as well as high and low gears, cost $15,000.
Weight and center of mass were redesigned to be more realistic.
To improve authenticity, engine and torque converter noises have been reworked, increased, and balanced (the actual 846 is a tremendously loud screaming beast).
Notes from the authors: I was blown away to discover the LM 845 in the Volvo Pack from Giants Software since I possess a 1974 Volvo LM 846!
(Aside from the wheels, the 846 and 845 are almost similar.) I have attempted to make my mod accurate to the genuine computer based on my extensive experience with the 846.
I included the option to replace the old D50 with a truck engine with turbo since it's prevalent here in Sweden.
Although I am new to modding, my next goals are to add turbo sound to the TD70 and update the 3D model to appear precisely like the actual thing!
