Choosing a trailer

Without the right trailer, your loading can become a living hell. Some trailers are too small, others have an awkward wall arrangement, and some don't have any way to load products quickly at all. Therefore, choosing transportation is one of the most important steps that will affect the speed and convenience of your work.

This makes loading easier, because you can work from several directions at once, rather than trying to push pallets through a narrow entrance.

There is a more convenient way - double loading. It allows you to load two pallets at a time, which cuts your work time almost in half.

How is it done? First, you carefully adjust the forks of the forklift to the two pallets at the same time. Then, lift them up and slowly move them into the trailer, carefully placing them next to the already loaded pallets. The main thing is to make sure that the pallets stand straight and do not tip over, otherwise you will have to redo the whole thing.

Some products allow not only double loading, but also double stacking. This means that pallets can be stacked one on top of the other, increasing the capacity of the trailer. However, not all pallets are suitable for this, so before using this technique, you need to make sure they won't fall over on the way.

Additional loading tips

Loading is not just the process of moving the pallets into the trailer. If you do something wrong, there's a good chance that at the first sharp turn, the load will fall off and you'll have to redo the whole thing. So before you hit the road, it's important to consider a few nuances.

• First, use the forklift's headlights. Sometimes it can be dark inside the trailer, and you'll have a hard time accurately positioning the pallets.

• Second, take your time when pulling out of the trailer. If the forks hit pallets that are already loaded, it can cause them to fall.

• Third, always use straps to secure the load. Even if the pallets seem stable, they can shift in motion, especially if the road is uneven or you have to make frequent turns.

Final preparation for transportation

Once the pallets are loaded, you can't just hit the road. If you don't secure the load, it can shift or even fall out on bends.

To prevent this from happening, you first need to connect the trailer to the truck. Any powerful tractor, such as Mack Anthem, will do. Next, be sure to secure the pallets with straps to keep them in place. You can do this right in the trailer menu.

After securing the load, it is worth closing the side panels. This will protect the products from accidentally falling out. When everything is ready, you can hit the road.

Loading pallets in Farming Simulator 25 may seem like a routine and tedious process, but if you use the double loading method, everything becomes much faster. Instead of moving your produce one pallet at a time, you can load two pallets at once, and in some cases even stack them on top of each other.
