The John Deere 8760/8960 is my first tractor conversion release for FS25 and one that I just cannot live without.
This mod's background:
For his massive air seeding and plowing in Western Australia, my dad really purchased a 1992 John Deere 8760 tractor in 1996. But after a few years, we discovered that the tractor had some issues. One of these issues was how poorly the tractor's manufacturer lights made it visible at night. In order to address the problem, new LED Hella spotlights were bought and installed on the tractor, along with a light bar for better nighttime vision. early to mid-2000s.
We sold this tractor, which we affectionately called "Big Green," in 2024. Additionally, I thought I'd make Big Green's Light bar in FS22 as I couldn't take a piece of the actual tractor as a memento.
Similar to the 7810, it took a while to get this mod to function properly since Siid modifying included the wrong gearbox and noises in the initial mod, which, based on the files, seem to have been obtained from a Fendt rather than a John Deere.
FS22 updates and modifications:
Since the mod was changed to FS25 materials, the tractor will get wet wherever you may anticipate, with the exception of the bonnet, where the water droplets aren't very obvious.
Since this is presently the closest thing I can obtain to authentic recordings from the actual 8760, the tractor is equipped with the John Deere 15L engine noises from Deyluck's 8650 hack. All tires are base-game FS25 standard with BKT Michelin and Continentals, and once Spesard & STX Farms' tires are ready to go, there are plans to add some Firestone and Goodyear tires soon. All of the tractor's lights have been upgraded to FS25 standards, and the cab has been prepared for a possible future update that could include a 24-speed Synchro-shift option. The Precision Planting and Kinze Monitors have also been updated to the same standards as the ones that are currently in Casearias and Steiger.
I do intend to keep updating and enhancing the tractor as I go along, which will include adding a 24-speed partial powershift transmission, moving the toolbox and steps to match the real tractor, and eventually recording the "voice" of the actual "Big Green" so that the FS mod has completely realistic sounds.
As usual, the patch has completely removed all errors and warnings from the log; nonetheless, if you have any problems for whatever reason, do let me know.

CHANGELOG V1.2: BcBuhler farms contacted me after the 8760/8960 was released earlier this year. They found an old Blender model of their dad's 8570 tractor and volunteered to contribute it so that the hood could be placed on the 8760/8960 mod's chassis as a basis.
Custom Modding's 8960/8970 in FS17 and FS19 is the closest thing to a public 8570/8770 or 8870 in FS to date.
Naturally, I accepted, and I began working for around six weeks, building the hood to suit the original mod, creating the decals (which were kindly supplied by BcBuhler Farms once again), and then creating unique dirt and specular maps.
This update includes the 8070 series in large tractors with the original 1993 cost shown beneath a different shop icon:
8570 – 250 horsepower 8770 – 300 horsepower 8870 – 350 horsepower
The 8970 contains decals, but I haven't found an appropriate model or precise sizes to incorporate them yet. To make the tractor seem realistic, some Cummins engine noises from an actual 8970 will also be sourced.
Furthermore, the tire's PTO 3-point and GPS choices are identical to those of the 8060 series, and a unique light setup was created to mimic BcBuhler's dad's actual 8570, from which measurements were acquired to enable this modification.
It's also important to note that after patch 1.13, the 8060 series cab's materials failed on the wear map side. I've attempted to fix this by re-implementing the original FS22 vmask textures, but this could change in a later release.
V1.1.0.0 – Repaired the tractor's exterior and interior dampness. Now, the bonnet will get wet while the cab remains dry. The rear axle was swapped out with a correctly scaled one that Deyluck Farms graciously gave (thank you, buddy, you are amazing!).
The tractor triangle on the rear of the cab was altered to be red and white, just as all the original 8760s and 8960s were from the manufacture.
I moved some items about in the i3d to make room for the 8570 bonnet that BcBuhler gave me to install on the tractor later. This is not yet a motor setup; decals and a few other items must be applied first.
The trimble steering wheel has been replaced with the FS25 trimble wheel, which is also used on Deyluck's 8650, and the standard Deere steering wheel has been changed to the proper material (painted metal, not rubber).
The original tractor in FS19 and FS22 was modified by Siid, and the PP, Kinze, and Concord in-cab monitors were modified by Casearias. Special thanks go to EVERYONE ELSE who created other models for steering wheels, GPS monitors, etc. that were included in this mod, but I can't recall who created the originals.
Cheers to farming!
